David III has arrived:-))
At my drs appt on 9-24-12, the dr realized that Little man was turned
funny and he couldn't feel the head. So he got worried because he had
been able to feel him for the past four weeks. So we decided to go into
the hospital for an ultrasound and possible induction. On the way to the
hospital I noticed a few contractions but nothing that really made an
impression on me. After the ultrasound, we discovered that he was half
on the cervix and half way in my left hip with his butt in my right
ribs. So we went back to the waiting room to wait for my dr. At this
point I was coming to terms that I was probably having another csection. After
an hour my nurse took me back and got my IV going and hooked up to the
monitors. I was having contractions but we weren't really that excited
about them because of him laying weird. At 8pm, The nurse checked me and
felt a shoulder instead of a head and I lost it. I started crying
because I could see my dream of a VBAC going up in smoke. At 9pm, my dr
showed up and requested another ultrasound done in my room. He wanted to
see first hand what was up. Lil David had moved into perfect position. (ALL due to God!!) So we decided to keep going forward with the VBAC. He checked me soon
after that an said I was a 3-4 and broke my water. He made the comment
to my nurse "Man, that Pitocen is really working well for her." Dani(my
nurse) and I just laughed and said no that's all her! He was thrilled!
God had sent me into full blown labor without any meds:) So they started
pit to get him out bc they were scared he would turn again. At 11pm I was
5 and a majority of the last of my water came out. Oddest feeling
EVER;) I then made the decision to get the Epi bc I didn't want to wait
too long and not have it. After the Epi I was a 6. At 12:40 or so my
nurse rolled me on my left side to keep the baby moving down..at 1:20
she moved me to the right side. My Epi did great everywhere except in
one tiny spot over my left hip and I knew something was starting to
happen. So David ran for the nurse. She checked me and a huge glob of
bloody show came out. She said I was about a 8 or 9 but was worried
about the blood so she sent for the dr. He got there about 2min later
and checked me and I was all ready to go. I was so shocked an scared.
Haha! I had sooo much pressure in my tailbone and the only way to
relieve it was to push. I ended up only pushing maybe 40min. He did put
the vacuum on David bc he wanted to turn him a tad on one of the last
contractions. Then I thought he used it to help pull him out but David
said it was all me. Having the pressure from the vacuum helped me know
where to push. It didn't hurt but the pressure on my tailbone about
killed me. At 2:29, I gave a huge push and his head was out. Next thing I
knew he was on my cheat and I was bawling all while praising God. I
couldn't believe I had done it. At every point along the way I kept
waiting to hear the words time for a section. My dr said he was thrilled
with how well I did. Baby even came out sunny side up. I owe it all to
God. At 2pm, I was nothing and no contractions. I was discouraged and my
sister prayed with me that God would give me a peace like I had never
had before. Little David had so many people praying for him. My dr even
said that this was the hand of God! From the first contraction till the
end was only nine hours:)) There is nothing like being able to get out of bed and MOVE in less than two hours after having him. I loved being able to hold my baby and get up without being in horrible pain. Little David took right to nursing and is such
a good baby. If he does fuss all I have to do it hold him and he
stops:) Daddy is so proud of his boy:) He pops straight up if he even
hears him whimper:) This kid has some of the longest toes I've ever seen
too! I swear he could wear a size three shoe now just bc of his toes:))
He was 7lbs 6oz and 19in long. Thank y'all that knew for all the
prayers!!! Btw, totally
cool part is the room I birthed and stayed in was the room where
Celion Dion birthed one of her kids, my drs wife birthed one of hers and my nurse birthed one of hers there too:)) I owe this whole experience to God! He blessed me so much this pregnancy and birth. After Addison's birth, I felt cheated like I had missed something and I felt let down by God. I had prayed even before I ever got pregnant that I would never have to have a csection. So when it happened and then I couldn't breastfeed her, I felt like God had let me down. It took me a long time to get over it. So when I got pregnant with D, I knew I wanted the VBAC but knew that it would only happen if it was something God wanted. God provided EVERY step of the way. Now looking back on it all....I see that God used Addi's birth as a teaching tool for me and now I can give advice to those who want it because Ive been through both types of births. I've had the best of both worlds:-) Well that's all for now but I wanted to share this with those who had wanted to hear.

Update on life....
It has been so long since I posted and I decided that I need to update things.
We now live in South Florida. It is beautiful here and we love it. We are close to a good church and several close friends.
David is now out of the Marines and is currently a security officer at a local hospital. He enjoys it and always has a funny story to share. Although the stories almost make me sad because it really shows how lost our world is without Christ.
I am currently a full time stay at home mom to Addison. I enjoy it but there are days where I just want to hire a babysitter so I can just sit in peace. Lol. I'm also pregnant with a little boy that is due this fall.
Addison is a rowdy two year old with a love of life. She loves to laugh, make others laugh, sing, dance (although I"m so sure you could call bouncing up and down dancing;-)), play with her daddy, and play outside. She loves her daddy but she is a true mommy's girl. We just got back from a two week trip to my parents. She fell in love with her Popa and MomMom (suppose to be Grandmomma but Addi can't say all that yet.). She is learning new things everyday. Her newest thing is praying. We always pray before bed...and she will not pray unless your hands are folded. Her little prayer is always "Dear Jesus, Amen." It makes me smile though because I know as she gets older she will fill in those blanks with alot more words. And for now I'm sure God is just thankful that she is praying to Him. I can't seem to keep up with her anymore. She is such a stubborn girl but yet can be so tender at times. I can't wait to see what God has planned for her.
Little Man is doing great. He is so much more calm than Addison ever was. I'm afraid that means he is just saving up his energy till he is born. Haha! I can't wait to be the mom of a little boy. After seven nephews, I think,....I think...I know what I'm in for. Lol.
Other than that, our life is pretty normal and basic. Ha! I hope that I"ve caught you up some on our little family!!!

Maturnity Pictures and Update
If my daughter has an attitude....she didn't get it from me....lol!!!!
I love how it looks like I'm on a farm in this one!
GOOOOO COLTS!!!!
One of my favorites!

I'm not really sure how she did it....but she has managed to already steal mommy and daddy's hearts!!!!!I have several more on Facebook but I just love these!!!!! Mommy and Baby girl are doing great. Althought I'm REALLY starting to get impatient. Lol! I'm soooo ready for her to be here. I mean I know that in several months or even several years, I'll be wishing she was still inside of me so I knew what she was doing and where she was at all times. Lol! But right now....I just want to be me again. I plan to breastfeed so I know that my body won't be mine for another several months but at least someone else could hold the baby for me during the time I'm not feeding. Haha! I'm ready for her to kick daddy instead of kicking me. Hahahaha! Last night I started daydreaming about what it is going to be like when I see her for the first time....and I think it just made me more impatient. Lol!!!! Her bags are all packed but I'm still putting mine off. I plan to do it tomorrow. Daddy looked at my list of stuff to pack and had no clue where any of the baby's stuff was that I wanted....soo I figured I should at least pack her stuff just in case. Lol!!! I went to the doctor on Tuesday...and everything is looking great. Baby Girl has FINALLY turned...now we just gotta get her to drop. H'mm...maybe I'll go walking about this. Lol!!! I've only gained 25lbs this pregnacy and I'm praise God for that. Lol! I did not want to end up gaining a hundred pounds or something. Hahaha! I can't wait to run it all off. I've had weird cravings this pregnancy...and I don't mean food-wise. For example, I cannot wait to run again (wish I had never stopped in the first place..ugh), I wanna go rollar blading, I crave sleeping on my stomach, and everything else I'm not allowed to do while I"m prego. Haha! Ohh well...it will all be over soon enough. I can't believe I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow!!!!!!!! YAHOOOO!!!!!! Well I better go get ready for the day and vaccum my floors. I cleaned yesterday but I didn't have the energy to vaccum. Lol! Sooooo that is all for now....ta ta till later!!!!!!!
